Windows Tips and Shortcuts

There are many keyboard shortcuts which can save you a great deal of time when using windows and applications, here are some of the most useful ones:-

 

Windows key + E opens windows explorer
Ctl + C copies text etc to past buffer (same as clicking on the copy icon on the toolbar)
Ctl + V pastes text etc from the past buffer (same as clicking on the paste icon on the toolbar)
Windows key + E will open windows Explorer
Windows key + F will open the Find window
Windows key + Pause/Break will open the System Properties window
Windows key + R will open the Start menu's Run box
Windows key + M will Minimize all windows
Windows key + Shift + M will undo Minimize all windows
Windows key + D will switch between minimizing all open programs and showing them all
Windows key + Tab will cycle through items on the taskbar
Windows key by itself will open the Start menu

If your mouse fails, you can also open programs, folders, or shortcuts on your desktop by pressing the Windows key + the first letter of the program/folder/or shortcut + Enter.
