A RHOENRADS training day held at Rendlesham Sports Centre was the best
attended yet, with 14 people arriving to learn this exiting sport. People
came from Cambridge, London, Amersham and Farn-borough to take part, including
five from Circusspace, the London Circus training school.
The Torwood Wheelers club at Rendlesham is still the only specialist club
in the country where people can train on Rhoenrads, sometimes known as
the German Wheel.
The club is lucky to have Martina Schad, an accomplished performer and
instructor from Germany who is staying in Ipswich for seven weeks and
is proving a great help and inspiration to our club.
The club is open to anyone aged 16 and over and new members are welcome.
It meets every Friday at the Rendlesham Sports Centre. If you would like
to try it or would like to know more, just call in to the Sports Centre
on a Friday evening from 8pm.
